Last Tracks
Take part in one of Lake Tahoe’s most unique on-mountain events this winter with Diamond Peak’s Last Tracks Wine/Beer Tasting events, held most Wednesday afternoons from February through the end of the ski season on the Snowflake Lodge Deck. Last Tracks participants have the opportunity to take advantage of a half-day lift ticket valid from 12:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. followed by a final chair ride up to Snowflake Lodge to experience breathtaking views, wine or craft beer tastings paired with delicious appetizers. When the event is over, participants enjoy one final run down a freshly groomed trail.
Note: Participants must load Lakeview Chair at or before 4:00 p.m., be able to ski or snowboard down an intermediate run and be 21+ to attend. All participants must have a physical ticket to attend.
Event generally takes place outdoors, please dress accordingly. The resort will evaluate the weather the morning of each event and will move events inside Snowflake Lodge should it be excessively cold or stormy.

Waiting List & Refunds: Diamond Peak does not keep a waiting list for sold-out events. If you or one of your party are unable to come to an event you have tickets for, you may give your tickets to friends. The Diamond Peak Guest Services office will not keep a waiting list and will not issue refunds for unused tickets.
Selling/Transferring Tickets: Diamond Peak does not condone resale of Last Tracks tickets and is not responsible for fraudulent activity associated with the resale of Last Tracks tickets. Please use caution if you are purchasing Last Tracks tickets from anyone you don’t know. If you are buying from an alleged ticket holder who cannot use their tickets, we highly recommend that you only purchase them in person and that you do so at the Diamond Peak lift ticket windows where our staff can verify you are purchasing legitimate tickets. Never send money to someone you don’t know on the internet – that usually does not end well.
Diamond Peak and IVGID reserve the right to suspend recreation privileges and/or Diamond Peak season pass privileges if Recreation Pass holders are found to be reselling Last Tracks tickets for more than face value.
Tips to get the most out of your Last Tracks experience
All participants MUST be able to ski or snowboard down an intermediate run in a timely fashion (no exceptions) and be 21+ to attend. Please do not bring guests who are beginner skiers/snowboarders.
Bring warm clothing: Events will take place outdoors when possible, so dress warm or bring an extra layer or two. Keep in mind you will not be exercising, so you’ll need warmer clothes than you would wear while skiing or riding – especially if it’s a windy day or the sun will set early.
Stormy day procedure: Our team will assess the weather and determine if the event will be moved indoors. This year all events will take place as scheduled (indoors if the weather is stormy), with no refunds offered during stormy days.
Picking up your tickets: Please stop by the Diamond Peak Ticket Windows to pick up your Last Tracks tickets. Tickets may be picked prior to the event, or anytime during the day of the event (by 3:45 p.m. at the very latest). Tickets are held for the person who made the reservation.
Take advantage of the afternoon lift ticket: Last Tracks tickets include a half-day lift ticket valid from 12:30 – 4 p.m. on the day of the event. (Unless you purchased the no-lift access version, in which case you must have a season pass or other lift access to attend the event – no exceptions.) Why not spend a few hours on the slopes before the wine/beer tasting begins?
Load Lakeview chair lift: You will need to ride the Lakeview chairlift to Snowflake Lodge to attend Last Tracks, and Lakeview closes at 4 p.m. sharp! We recommend loading the chair by 3:45 p.m. or earlier. If you miss last chair, you miss the event.
Arrive at Snowflake on time (or early): Last Tracks events begin promptly at 4:00 p.m. (4:10 p.m. for March/April events) and you may miss wine/beer courses if you arrive late.
Allergies or dietary restrictions: Our Food & Beverage team will try their best to accommodate dietary restrictions with the ingredients available to them at the event. Please fill out the Dietary Restrictions Form if you have any food restrictions at least 48 hours before the event you will attend. Please also notify the Last Tracks host when you check in at the event so we can be sure to reserve your special plates for the right person.
Rental equipment & locker room: If you rented ski/snowboard gear from Diamond Peak or need to access the seasonal locker room after the event, please let the Last Tracks Host (who will be at the event) know. That way we’ll be ready to let you back into the Rental Shop when the event is over.
Don’t over indulge: Last Tracks typically involves 4-5 wine or beer tastings with appetizers. We encourage guests to know their limits and be conservative in their alcohol consumption, knowing that you still need to ski/ride down to the Base Area when the event is over. With this in mind, we also encourage you to arrange for a designated driver or other transportation home.
Ski/Ride down as a group: Guests must ski and snowboard down the designated route (which will be freshly groomed) as a group when the event is over. This way, our Ski Patrol can ensure nobody gets lost or stuck on the mountain. If you have an emergency and need to leave early, please speak with a Last Tracks Host at the event to make arrangements.
Can’t make it? If you are unable to come to an event you have tickets for, you may give them to friends. You will still need to pick up the tickets yourself and can do that in advance. Diamond Peak does not keep a waiting list and will not issue refunds for unused tickets.
