ADA Accessibility

Sit Skier from Achieve Tahoe visit

Diamond Peak Ski Resort is committed to providing an accessible mountain experience for all.

Guests needing special accommodations

Please call (775) 832-1177 to make arrangements for any special ADA accommodations required.

Parking

Diamond Peak offers two ADA parking areas for guests with Handicap Parking permits:

  • Lower Parking Lot (next to lower Skier Services Building)
  • Upper Parking Lot (next to upper Base Lodge Building)

ADA Accessible Transportation

Diamond Peak’s free Community Ski Shuttle buses are not currently ADA accessible; however, accessible transportation is available upon request. Please call (775) 832-1177 to arrange for accessible transportation to the resort at least 24 hours prior to the date transportation is needed. Transportation services are only offered while the resort is open for winter operations.

Restrooms

There are wheelchair accessible restrooms in the Skier Services (lower) building and the Base Lodge (upper) building:

  • Skier Services building – access from outside near the tram loading/unloading area
  • Base Lodge building – access from outside near the stairs up to the Loft Bar
  • Base Lodge building – inside the Loft Bar on the 3rd floor
  • Base Lodge building – inside the lodge on the 1st floor

Lodge entrances

There are zero entry guest entrances to the Diamond Peak Base Lodge and Skier Services buildings, next to the ADA parking areas. Walkways in the base area are comprised of block pavers, asphalt and concrete.

Elevator access

Elevator access in the Skier Services building is available through the doors marked Marketing & Admin Offices (looker’s left of the Ticket Windows). Elevator access in the Base Lodge building is available through the main lodge entrance, and provides access to the 3rd floor Loft Bar level. Access to the 1st floor of the Base Lodge is possible via the ramp from the upper parking lot, or by utilizing the Garaventa wheelchair lift from the upper parking lot level.
