Meet our 2022-23 T-Shirt Design Contest Winner

In an effort to tap into the incredible creativity we know exists within the Diamond Peak community, last spring we put out a call for t-shirt design ideas. We received some great submissions from Audrey Krumenacker, Georgia Brown, Grace Sudbery, Dean Parr, Jennifer Grant, Sarah Burch, Susan Tavana (and the Tavana kids). But our winning design came from Galen Ramos who created the design you’ll find on our 2022-23 promo/prize t-shirts that we’ll be giving away throughout the season.

We caught up with Galen via email to learn a little more about what inspired his artwork…

What was the inspiration behind your winning t-shirt design?

Galen Ramos: I wanted to equally represent snowboarder & skier. I also wanted to apply the current design style we’re in right now which is retro-70’s line art/colors with distressed finish.

Why do you love Diamond Peak?

The people. It’s a family friendly resort. Great views and brews.

How long have you been skiing/riding here?

Four years now.

Whom do you typically ski/ride with at Diamond Peak?

Dan Sanderson a bud, fellow surfer, and co-worker.

What’s your favorite run or glade zone at Diamond Peak?

Crystal Ridge, oh the views!

What are your hopes for the 2022/23 ski season?

Snow, snow, & more snow… an end to the drought and a nice snowpack.
