60th Anniversary Parties & Promotions

Diamond Peak is projected to open Thursday, December 4, 2025. Lift tickets, group lessons, and rentals are on sale now. The private lesson request form is scheduled to open on November 17.

When it opened on November 19, 1966, Diamond Peak Ski Resort – then known as Ski Incline – ushered in a new era of skiing in the Tahoe Basin. As the first resort in the West to utilize a man-made snowmaking system to augment what Mother Nature provided in the wintertime, the slopes of Ski Incline became a family-friendly destination from the very beginning.

Celebrate the official kick-off of the North Tahoe ski season with Diamond Peak, Village Ski Loft, and Alibi at Alibi Incline Public House on Friday, December 5, 2025! It’s an ugly sweater themed party, but we’d love to see some classic ski sweaters from the 1960s and 1970s as well! So rummage through your parent’s old gear and bring out your best retro vibes. Full party details here.

Reunion Weekend

Have you ever spent a winter working at Ski Incline or Diamond Peak? Diamond Peak Ski Resort is hosting the Diamond Reunion Weekend this spring as part of the 60th anniversary celebration. All past employees are invited back for a fun weekend of events, reminiscing, and music. Details coming soon…

Retro Memories & Photos

We are in the process of planning a winter full of fun to mark this incredible milestone, and we need your help! We are looking for stories and photos from your time on the slopes – either back in the Ski Incline days or last season. Send your stories to marketing@diamondpeak.com.

Did you learn to ski/snowboard at Ski Incline/Diamond Peak? We’d love to hear about it. Who taught you to ski/ride? How was skiing/snowboarding different when you learned? Why did you learn at Diamond Peak?

When did you first ski or ride at Ski Incline/Diamond Peak? What have been the biggest changes you’ve seen over the years?

Did you work at the resort? When did you work here? What department did you work for? Who were the most memorable characters on staff during your tenure here?

Did you meet your spouse here? Or did you get engaged or married here?

In addition to collecting your stories, we’d love to put together a display of classic ski outfits and photos from the past 60 years of Ski Incline/Diamond Peak. Please reach out to the Marketing Department at marketing@diamondpeak.com or 775-832-1120 if you have old photos, gear or other memorabilia that you would be willing to loan us for our 60th celebration. We will take good care of any items donated and will happily return them after the winter.
