Now Hiring: Ski Patrol Director/Safety Coordinator
Make a meaningful impact in our North Lake Tahoe community by leading a dedicated team committed to mountain safety and service. Diamond Peak is seeking a Ski Patrol Director / District Safety Coordinator to lead and coordinate the Patrol team and safety activities at the ski resort.
You will have the opportunity to lead a cohesive and highly-experienced Patrol team, continue to improve our safety awareness programs, and manage our emergency response programs. This position is full-time, year-round and will assist with summer and fall safety coordination Districtwide during the offseason at the ski resort.
Required Certifications & Skills:
- 6 years ski patrol experience and 2 years supervisory/management experience (preferably in the ski industry), or equivalent combo
- Excellent leadership, management, administrative, presentation/training, and customer service skills
- Ability to maintain composure when dealing with irate customers
- EMT or Outdoor Emergency Care (OEC) certification
- CPR/AED certification
- Strong skiing/boarding ability across all terrain and slope conditions
- Ability to pass a toboggan handling test administered by DP Ski Patrol
- Ability to safely operate a snowmobile
- Current registration with National Ski Patrol or Association of Professional Patrollers
- Valid Driver’s License
- High School diploma (or GED) with some college-level business courses
Salary: $78,811-$110,219/year DOE/DOQ
