Group Lesson Levels Explained
If you are planning to register online for a Child Ski Center lesson package, please read the descriptions below of the different levels we use to classify kids in our lesson programs. We have a limited inventory of each level lesson per day, so if the level you are looking for is sold out, please book a different day or give us a call at 775-832-1130 to discuss with our staff. Do not book your child into a level they are not ready for.

Yellow - Level 2 = Your child has mastered stopping in a wedge consistently every time and is ready to learn how to make wedge turns on a beginner run. Lesson will be taught on the School Yard beginner run and School House chairlift.
Green - Level 3 = Your child can ski most green runs in a wedge. All children in this group must be able to stop every time the instructor ask them to. The class must remain together at all times. Lesson will be taught on Lodge Pole run and Lodge Pole chairlift.
Blue - Level 4 = Your child can ski most blue runs and is starting to ski parallel. Children in this level must be able to wedge down blue runs safely and be prepared to start making parallel turns. All children must be keep up with the pace of the class. Lesson will be taught on various runs accessed by Lakeview or Red Fox chairlifts.

There’s some great information at www.lidsonkids.org. Helmet rentals are available at the Child Ski Center for $10 ($15 peak periods); limited quantity available.
Kids on Lifts: We take chairlift safety seriously and require that children under 51" must ride the lift with a partner. For more information, please visit KidsOnLifts.org.
