Diamond Peak Coloring Book Submissions Due

September 1st, 2017

Diamond Peak will be producing a custom coloring book for the 2017-18 ski season and we’re inviting our community of skiers/riders/artists to contribute a page design (or multiple) for the book. To submit a page(s) for consideration, please follow the design specs and content guidelines below. Artists whose designs are chosen will receive 1 complimentary non-peak lift ticket for the 2017-18 ski season per page included in the book.
Design specs:

  • Artwork should fit completely into 8.75” wide X 5.75” tall space
  • Black & white
  • Line art should be bold enough to make an engaging kids coloring book page with lots of options for how to color in the different objects in the design
  • Formats accepted: PDF, EPS, AI, JPEG (300 dpi resolution)

All pages must be family-friendly in content, though we are hoping to include some very simple designs for little kids and some more complex designs for older kids or adults. Designs should be ski/snowboard/mountain oriented and reference something related to Diamond Peak ski resort if possible. Ideas are below, but feel free to think outside the box as well…

  • Penguin Pete (our resort mascot) doing something fun (Skiing, Snowboarding, Playing with kids, etc)
  • Local wildlife (Bears, Raccoons, Coyotes, Mountain Lions, Long-tailed Weasels, Native birds (Bald Eagles, Mt. Chickadee, Clark’s Nutcracker, Steller’s Jay, Tanager, Ravens)
  • The view of Lake Tahoe from Diamond Peak
  • Lake Tahoe (above or below the surface)
  • Tahoe Tessie (the legendary lake monster)
  • Ski Patrol Dogs (Thunder the black lab is a crowd favorite at Diamond Peak)
  • Skiers & Snowboarders
  • Chairlifts
