Fridays; February 27, March 6, March 13, March 27: Face/Off Friday Rail Jam Series - Kick off the weekend with Face/Off Friday rail jams on Friday afternoons. Throw down your best tricks or just join in on the fun at Face/Off Fridays with giveaways, drink specials, and more. $10 entry fee for competitors; pre-register on DiamondPeak.com. Spectators can watch the competition from the Loft Bar deck lounge and enjoy happy hour drink and food specials starting at 4:00 p.m. in the Loft Bar.
Saturdays Through April 11: Last Tracks Wine/Beer Tastings – Every Saturday, through April, enjoy beautiful views of Lake Tahoe from Snowflake Lodge while tasting fine wines or craft brews paired with tasty appetizers. At the end of the event, ski or snowboard down at sunset. Last Tracks tickets are $34 and include a lift ticket valid from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Participants must be 21 years old and ski or snowboard at an intermediate level. Sundays: Build-Your-Own Bloody Mary Bar – Start your Sunday off with some laps on the hill and $8 build-your-own Bloody Marys; 10:30 a.m. -2:00 p.m. every Sunday in the Loft Bar. The Bloody Mary bar has all the fixin’s, spices, and sauces to build the perfect Bloody.
March 6: Community Snowshoe Hike – Join us for an evening Community Snowshoe Hike to Diamond Peak's Snowflake Lodge on March 6th. The 1.5 mile (3 miles round trip) hike includes guides, exclusive after-hour access to Diamond Peak and Snowflake Lodge, s‘mores and hot cocoa. Food and beverages are also available for purchase at Snowflake Lodge. Register at the Incline Village Recreation Center or call (775) 832-1310.
March 7: Diamond Peak Uphill/Downhill Dash – Earn your turns at the Diamond Peak Uphill/Downhill Dash! Race to the top of the mountain using whatever human powered method you prefer. Skin, snowshoe or run to the top; ski, snowboard or snowshoe down; then head back up to the mid-mountain Snowflake Lodge for the finish, breakfast and awards. For those less competitive, a recreational course is available from the base area up to Snowflake Lodge. $10 entry; prizes awarded for both categories.
March 7: TEA Winter Expo – Bring the whole family for the Tahoe Expedition Academy (TEA) Winter Expo, a unique learning exposition in the base area of Diamond Peak, on March 7th from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. This free event features hands-on, interactive winter activities for all ages such as snow shelter building, cross-country skiing, snow biking, snowshoeing, live music, and more! Food and beverages are available for purchase.
March 8: Village Ski Loft Spring Demo Day – Try out the latest and greatest 2015-16 model skis for free! Village Ski Loft is hosting their annual Spring Demo Day at Diamond Peak on Sunday, March 8th from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. It is free to demo equipment but you must have a valid Diamond Peak season pass or lift ticket, a photo ID, and credit card to leave as a deposit.
March 14-15: 19th Annual Celebrity Winterfest® Ski Competition - Celebrity Winterfest®, benefiting Special Olympics Northern California and Nevada, is March 14-15th at Diamond Peak Ski Resort and The Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, Spa and Casino. The weekend kicks off with opening ceremonies and lighting of the torch on the Base Lodge Deck before corporate teams, along with their celebrity and Special Olympics athletes, race head-to-head in a fun ski challenge. Spectators can watch the race from the Base Lodge deck. The weekend concludes with an awards banquet and Polar Plungefest at the Hyatt.
