FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Two Diamond Peak Ski Patrollers Announced Patrol Director of the Year and Pro Patroller of the Year Incline Village, NV- The Eastern Region of the National Ski Patrol just named Diamond Peak Patrol Director Dennis Griffiths Patrol Director of the Year and veteran Diamond Peak ski patroller Jim Whitson Pro Patroller of the Year. This region includes all Lake Tahoe area ski resorts. Over 50 ski patrollers attended the NSP Award Ceremony/On-the-Hill Retraining at Diamond Peak Ski Resort on November 7, 2008. Diamond Peak Patrol Director Dennis Griffiths and Diamond Peak Ski Patroller Jim Whitson were nominated by their peers for these awards and then they were submitted to the National Ski Patrol. The NSP judges chose Dennis Griffiths and Jim Whitson for these awards based on customer comments, tenure, skier visits versus accident ratio, and commitment to retraining.
