FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE The Diamond Peak 3rd Annual Uphill Race is March 28th Incline Village, NV- The 3rd Annual Uphill Race is March 28th. Go up to the Snowflake Lodge under your own power – skis with skins or snowshoes and you need to have equipment to ski or ride down from Snowflake Lodge – skis, snowboards, telemark skis, or split boards are all acceptable. The opposite of the famous Last Tracks, this First Tracks Uphill Race will challenge people interested in going up the mountain self-propelled. Enjoy breakfast and award ceremony at Snowflake Lodge before the mountain opens. Race starts at 8am. Prizes will be provided for best time (male and female) plus a raffle for everyone participating. The cost is $10 which includes a T-shirt. Two races will be a part of this event, the advanced race and the regular race. Advanced Race- registration: 7:00-7:20 am Race starts at 7:30 am Best route to make it to Snowflake in time: The upper mountain is open, but you must be to the top of Crystal by 8:45 am (Spillway is the fastest) Regular Race- registration: 7:15-7:45 am Race starts at 8:00 am Best route to take: Popular and Freeway Awards ceremony: 9:00 am at Snowflake Diamond Peak is located at 1210 Ski Way in Incline Village, Nevada.
