The spring calendar at Diamond Peak is filled with fun events for all ages, skiers and non-skiers alike. Mark your calendars now to save the date for these upcoming events:
February 26 & March 25: Face/Off Friday Rail Jam Series - Kick off the weekend with Face/Off Friday rail jams on Friday afternoons. Throw down your best tricks or just join in on the fun at Face/Off Fridays with giveaways, drink specials, and more. $10 entry fee for competitors; pre-register on DiamondPeak.com. http://www.diamondpeak.com/events/details/face-off-fridays
March 4: Community Snowshoe Hikes - Join us for an evening Community Snowshoe Hike to Diamond Peak's Snowflake Lodge. The 1.5 mile hike includes guides, exclusive after-hour access to Diamond Peak and Snowflake Lodge, s‘mores and hot cocoa. Food and beverages are available for purchase at Snowflake Lodge. March 5: Diamond Peak Uphill/Downhill Dash – Earn your turns at the Diamond Peak Uphill/Downhill Dash sponsored by Tahoe Mountain Sports. Race to the top of the mountain using whatever human powered method you prefer. Skin, snowshoe or run to the top; ski, snowboard or snowshoe down; then head back up to the mid-mountain Snowflake Lodge for the finish and awards. For those less competitive, a recreational course will be available from the base area up to Snowflake Lodge. March 6: Village Ski Loft Spring Demo Day – Try out the latest and greatest 2016-17 model skis for free! Village Ski Loft is hosting their annual Spring Demo Day at Diamond Peak on Sunday, March 6 from 9am-3pm. It is free to demo equipment but you must have a valid Diamond Peak season pass or lift ticket, a photo ID, and credit card to leave as a deposit.
March 6: Diamond Peak Ski Team Diamond Cup Challenge – The 14th Annual Diamond Cup Challenge is a family-friendly community fun race that benefits the Diamond Peak Ski Team. Join in on the fun on March 6 and compete against your child, spouse, coworkers, best friend, etc. on Show-Off. Race or cheer on your friends while listening to live music by Paul David & the Drivers 1-4pm. March 19: Retro Ski Day & Season Passholder Party – Break out your retro gear, neon, and skinny skis for Retro Ski Day at Diamond Peak. March 27: Easter Egg Hunt – The big egg hunt starts right when the lifts open at 9am! Eggs are hidden all over the mountain, including golden eggs with special prizes in them. Participants must have a valid lift ticket for the day of event or a season pass. April 2: 16th Annual Dummy Downhill –Join us for the 16th Annual Dummy Downhill where participants build a dummy on skis or snowboards that get launched off of a big jump. Watch as unique characters fly down the hill or crash hard.
