World’s 100 Best Ski Runs

Diamond Peak’s Crystal Ridge recently made the World’s 100 Best Ski Runs list by CNN Travel. Some of the world’s top skiers, snowboarders and winter sports journalists submitted their favorite ski runs to come up with the published list of the world’s most exhilarating ski runs.

Crystal Ridge is an intermediate level trail, accessed by the Crystal Express high speed quad which was installed in the late 1980’s. The trail starts at Diamond Peak’s summit at an elevation of 8540′ where skiers can see both Washoe Lake and pristine views of Lake Tahoe. Skiers often comment that it feels like you are going to ski right into the lake since Crystal Ridge has somewhat of an infinity pool effect. Diamond Peak is known for the spectacular views of Lake Tahoe from several places around the resort but Crystal Ridge is by far the favorite and most photographed.
