Diamond Peak adds a new season pass just for beginners

VILLAGE, NV:  Diamond Peak now offers a
Beginner Season Pass.  The pass is available
online or at the resort for $99. It is valid for the resort's School House and
Lodgepole chairlifts. 'The new pass will make it easier and more affordable for
families to spend more time on the slopes" said Milena Regos, Marketing
Director. 'They can upgrade to a full season pass as their skills improve."

Skiers or snowboarders that purchase the beginner pass can
apply their $99 purchase price toward the purchase of a full season pass. This
only applies to full season passes at regular price, not midweek passes or
preseason rates.  For example, a child
between the ages of 7 and 12 would pay an additional $86 to upgrade to a full
season pass which is regularly priced $185. 

Diamond Peak pays special attention
to beginners and is known as a great place to learn.  They have gentle,
wide-open slopes that are easy to navigate.  They also lack the crowds
often found at larger resorts.  With a first rate Ski and Snowboard School, snow sports
enthusiasts can choose from a variety of lesson packages for all ages and
abilities. Here are a few more new programs that beginner skiers and
snowboarders will find at Diamond Peak.

This year Diamond Peak has joined up with
Burton Snowboards to become a Burton Learn To Ride Center.  Burton's specially
designed snowboards make learning easy and fun. 
All beginner snowboarding packages will include this new equipment.   Diamond Peak will also offer
Demo Snowboards this year.  The fleet
will consist of all new 2006-2007 model Burton Snowboards.

Skiers and snowboarders will also find other new options for
learning, like the Learn Together Special. 
This is a great way for families to spend quality time together on the
slopes.   The cost of the all day program
is $475 for a group of two to five people of similar ability.   A half day program is also available for
$300.  

The Child Ski Center also offers two
new programs this year.  The Frequent
Private Lesson Program gives kids a sixth private lesson free after they take
five.   Now, kids can get even more out
of their one-on-one instruction time. 
Bee Ferrato, Founder and Director of the Child Ski Center, believes 'This
continuity through the season allows the child to build a strong bond with
their special instructor."  

For those that can ski midweek, Diamond Peak offers the Midweek
All Day Special.  Kids can take all day
group lessons on any two days out of a five day period for $180.  The package includes group lessons, indoor
supervision and lunch.
