Weather & Renovations

I went up to the lodge and checked out the progress today and I have to say I am very impressed with what they are doing up there!
The loft bar area is going to be so very cool, with the high-beamed ceilings and skylights that are going in. I can just imagine being in there, sipping my hot cocoa, or the like, with my feet up after a long day of hitting the slopes. Ahhh......
It looks like the internal food and beverage offices, the new lower bathrooms (the tile looks really nice!), the rental shop, and deck areas are moving along, although there is plenty to be done. I am told that we are on schedule, so looks can be deceiving at this point. So I will keep you updated, but so far so good!
As far as the weather goes...Well, the snow- capped mountains didn't last very long. We are back to normal fall temps once again. I'm still hanging on for a big winter, and we are going to have a big winter. Yes we are. Can you tell that I am a firm believer that speaking out positive makes positive things happen? We are going to have a big, wet, fluffy, wonderful winter! So there.
But it is still fall, and we love the change of seasons too. The trees look so beautiful now. Pictures of them coming soon! But for now, here's a shot I took today, another view of the Base Lodge and if you look real close, you may see Kayla.
