Summer is just around the corner!

Diamond Peak may be closed, but there is plenty to do in Incline Village and North Lake Tahoe, beginning with this weekend. The Championship Golf Course is ripe with killer golfing deals beginning this Saturday (that’s tomorrow) with free COBRA demo’s at the driving range between 10-2. The same deal with different vendors is offered every Saturday through July. At only $50, a women’s golf clinic is being offered Sunday from 9-1 for any woman who wants to brush up or learn, this is a great time. (You may see me there!) And then there’s always the Golf Stimulus Package deal where you can golf FREE after 5pm select days on select courses in Incline Village. Go to www.golfincline.com for more details! At the Incline Tennis Center, also on Saturday, there is a Dunlop Demo Day complete with refreshments and prizes from 1:30-2:30. The Tennis Center has some fun clinics and events you can check out at www.inclinerecreation.com including the 28th Annual Incline Open August 14th-16th. Speaking of the Incline Village Recreation Center, don’t forget about that wonderful Olympic-sized indoor swimming pool and the many programs that the Rec Center offers. The pool center has lessons available all summer long for kids and adults, as well as lap and open swim times. If you haven’t checked it out, it’s a must do! Another fun thing to do this summer is to catch an outdoor movie at Starlight Cinema & BBQ at Aspen Grove (a personal favorite spot of mine, I got married there!) Also, the Fourth of July in North Lake Tahoe is unsurpassed anywhere with 3 nights of firework shows and festivities all around the Lake. One last thing worth mentioning is the Shakespeare Festival at Sand Harbor. Nothing like a little bard on the beach under starry skies! There is so much Summer fun to look forward to in Tahoe..and I haven’t even mentioned mountain biking, beaching & boating, parasailing, kayaking, boat shows, arts & crafts fairs, concerts, and hiking (which by the way, you can do right here at Diamond Peak and get a awesome view of the Lake while you’re at it). So much to do, so little time!! It makes me almost forget about Winter….almost.
