Snow Coming to Diamond Peak? Let Me Gaze Into My Crystal Ball..

Looks like snow's coming, feels like snow's coming, but will there be snow? According to the weather report for the next few days it is probable. I can tell you first hand that here at Diamond Peak you can definitely feel a drop in the temps and it’s obvious something is trying to blow in, but only Mother Nature knows for sure what’s in store. I can’t promise anything. (If only I had a crystal ball to answer those specific-date weather inquiries!)
Right now the clouds are moving in, with some wind so the chance for snow is looking pretty good. Sunday’s report is the most promising with a 70% chance and up to 4 inches likely on the North Shore. The prediction for the rest of the week includes daily a small chance of snow, and another bigger possiblity happening on Wednesday. But I won’t bore you with the all the conflicting reports and nitty gritty details.
This past week sure was a nice change. In fact, 4 out of 5 skiers surveyed agree that the sunshine we had this week was a welcomed break from the cold, but now we are all ready for some more white stuff to grace our slopes. If the weather reports deliver our prayer for Tahoe snow may be answered very soon, or maybe even today. Unfortunately I don’t have a crystal ball to tell you when it will happen or how much we will get. Since the closest I can come to a crystal ball is a snow globe, I’ll just shake that, dream of fresh powder and hope for the best.
