Open for Businessby dawn Diamond Peak is open today. We are 100% open at this time. The conditions are wet, especially down here at the base where it is raining lightly, and up at the top where it is a mix of rain and snow. And I'm told there is limited visability at the top at this time. But we are open. When others close, you can usually count on Diamond Peak to remain open. The biggest reason is that our lifts are positioned in a way that the wind rarely impacts them enough to close them. And most of our mountain faces North, which protects a fair amount of our runs from the most intense winds that often come out of the Southwest, especially the runs under the Lakeview chair, which is about the place to be on the mountain on days like today. So if you're coming, bundle up yourself and your children, be waterproof, and don't forget your goggles.
