I hope you all had a safe and enjoyable New Years Eve! I was in bed by 8:30, knowing that I was going to be waking at 4:00 so I could get here by 5 to get the snow report out this morning. I was, however, awakened at Midnight by the "Woo's" and whistles of nearby celebratory party goers, so I took that opportunity to bid 2008 a fond but sleepy fairwell, and sailed right back to dreamland. I read in the paper this morning that they (those they people) reckon that people are in general optimistic about 2009 and are hopeful it will be a good year. Obviously 2008 wasn't so terrific for many, and some people are quite happy to be done with it. Now that I think about it, there does seem to be a quiet contentment among the guests this morning (or could just it be all that partying last night?) Well, in any case, here's to 2009! My prayer for you is that it be a year when all is said and done, and it's New Years Eve 2010, your "Woo's" and whistles will be because when you look back on that amazing year 2009, it was so good that you just can't contain yourself.
