Grand Opening!

The place to be was at the Grand Opening Celebration on Saturday. Wow, what a great day! We had at least 600 people RSVP, and I wouldn't be surprised if more than that showed up. It was quite a crowd! The lodge looked mahvelous, dahrling, and I do believe a good time was had by all. Emily Tessmer treated us to her beautiful voice and and keyboard playing talents while others enjoyed their passport tours of the facility and ate yummy appetizers. Kids were loving playing in our machine-made snow mounds, and those who weren't doing that had a fun time making arts and crafts in our soon-to-be-named banquet room. (By the way with 56 entries for the "name the room" contest, it's going to be a hard to decide who will win that Potlach gift basket!) We gave away some great prizes, and the oldest season pass was from 1969! I'll let Kayla talk more about the details but personally, I was just so excited to meet a few who actually read my blog! Thanks for saying Hi and it was so great to meet you all and be a part of this exciting celebration.
An ending note, for anyone who was planning on attending the opening day BBQ... Since we will not be open on December 11th, the BBQ is also has to be postponed. Sorry about that, but as soon as we open, we will feed you. :)
Caio! (or should I say "No Caio!") har har
Here's a pic of our mascot Diamond Pete at the Grand Opening, looking more dapper than ever...
