When are we opening?
The answer is tentatively December 11th, if we have enough snow. Unfortunately, the temps haven't been consistently low enough to make snow over a substantial number of consecutive days to allow any kind of accumulation.
A storm is coming in today; we'll see what it brings. The word around town is that other nearby resorts are operating with only one run open or are changing their opening dates to later ones.
Well, so much for my prediction of an early winter. I’m sorry to hear that some of you have traveled from out of town, reservations long in advance to enjoy your holiday on the slopes.
In spite of the circumstances, whatever they may be, we’ll try to remember the things to be thankful for. Our families and friends, this county we are free to live in, lower gas prices, to name just a few.
So go get your turkey out to thaw, and have a happy Thanksgiving. We'll see you as soon as the snow flies. (Hopefully by the time the leftovers are gone.) And at your table tomorrow, don’t forget to add snow to your prayer.
