Amazing March

"We're set for the season.” Those were the words of our Mountain Manager this morning in regards to the snowfall and our resort status. We’re not only set but we are above and beyond what is needed to remain open until our projected closing date of April 12th. Hands down, the mountain right now is the best it has been all season, and the blessings from above continue to flow even now, as I gaze out my window at lightly falling flurries.
And we are far from finished. The resort is bubbling over with upcoming events, including the Vertical Challenge tomorrow where you can compete to get the most vertical feet in one day and possibly win Diamond Peak mini passes or $50 off a season pass for next year. Also, next week, don’t forget to come out Monday – Friday for another Learn to Ski and Ride week. You could try a new sport, for a very low price in very amazing snow conditions. The weather report says sun sun sun and a perfect pairing to that is our snow snow snow. So there’s no better time to learn than now. We also have a Community Appreciation Day coming up on March 17th, another Jiblet on March 21st, an Uphill Race on March 28th, and our 9th annual Dummy Downhill on March 29th. All of these events are open to the public and have some really great prizes. For more details, check out the “News and Events” tab right here at Diamondpeak.com.
In addition to these events we have a variety of deals to accommodate just about any skier’s appetite, like the local’s lunch (that’s not just for locals) M-F where you can ski for a few hours mid-day and included is a $10 lunch voucher, all for only 20 bucks, which is a killer deal. Just ask Dave, who came out yesterday for locals lunch, had a wonderful time, and said it was just the short "ski fix" he needed. Or, you could always take advantage of our twilight special, offered any day. With this deal you can come to ski from 2:30 to 4:30 for a mere $23.00, the same price as a beginner lift ticket. And we can’t forget about Last Tracks every Saturday, where you can begin skiing after 3:00 and stay for wine and appetizers up at Snowflake lodge while the sun sets over Tahoe for only $32! The deals and fun abounds here at Diamond Peak. I’m so excited for this next month I can barely stand it!
