Diamond Peak is a great place to snowboard. Not as crowded as the others and the slopes are pretty easy. Great view of the lake from the top. Also..great bloody marys in the lodge! I will keep coming back for sure.

We LOVE it here. The location for us can't be beat, its practically in the backyard of our condo, with a free shutlle ride to boot! The tickets are cheap, the view of the lake from the top is amazing, happy hour specials, decent food. Our daughter has also taken about 5 lessons here and has loved all the insturtors (except for one) still not a bad average! It is smaller, but its family friendly and for the price I don't think it can be beat! Give it a try!

This place was recommended to us by my good friend Dan, at Don Cheepo's in South Lake Tahoe. We usually hang on the south side, and go to the resorts there; but he said we'd probably enjoy Diamond Peak, on the northern side if we didn't mind the drive.

For the amount of fun we had, compared to the 35 minute ride to get there I'd say "I'll do it every time from now on!"

It's probably the best small resort on all the lake. The employees are definitely friendlier. The lines to get on the lifts are basically non existent (on week days) and with hardly any wait to get back up to the runs, that's what's so fun. And for my skill level, with the amount of times I got to come down.... cheeeehoo!!!

If you're lucky (again.. more so on week days) at the end of the day, you can actually ski/snowboard right to your car... REALLY!!! We did it... TWICE.. that's awesome!!!

And for the price.... I could get TWO half day tickets, for the price of one at another resort that I won't mention. So with the monies I've saved... it's like we've already won at the casino that we're going to later (does that make sense)

We were at Diamond Peak for 4 out of the 5 days we were in Tahoe, and this was probably the best ski/snowboard vacation we've ever had. Maholo Dan

This is one of the TOP resorts in all of Tahoe. Definitely a great deal, the pricing destorys everything around. It has one of the best views of the lake and the runs are always well manicured. It seems that Diamond Peak always has some of the largest quantities of fresh, natural powder.

I know we do not have much snow this winter. But this is a nice place for the family to ski. Food and adult beverage prices are about the most reasonable you will find in the Lake Tahoe area. (Still not cheap!) They give lift ticket discounts if you show a pass from another ski resort. Great views of Lake Tahoe on the high ridge runs, and some of the runs are quite long. Remember, this a smaller resort, so not many lifts. Still have some good black diamond runs though.

Letter from Sue

I wanted to send you a letter to acknowledge one of your instructors. Dingo was my daughter's ski instructor over the recent holiday break. It was our goal to change my eight year old daughter's mind about skiing. Skiing in the past had not been something she enjoyed at all.

When we met Dingo, he greeted us with a smile. Dingo was amazing! He was friendly, warm, patient and hard working. Needless to say we have Dingo to thank for changing Jolie's mind about skiing. She is even ready to try snow-boarding our next visit to Diamond Peak.

I just wanted to let you know how lucky you are to have Dingo as part of your team. The experience we had with Dingo will absolutely make us return to Diamond Peak in the furture.

Letter from Trish (a satisfied grandparent)

Recently I was at Diaond Peak with my two grandsons over their winter break. I was very impressed with the Child Care program and especially Jake Jakubowski. So much so, I had to comment on the experience. Her ability to quickly assess the capabilities and personalities of these young children made all the difference. I can't tell you how thrilling it was to see Cash's confidence soar. I will never forget him enthusiastically telling me waht a "GREAT" time he had and proudly showing off his bands. Tanner was more reluctant, but the all out effort trying to get him comfortable was admirable. I got the sense they really care that each child had a positive experience.

I also greatly appreciated the ease of use. From drop off to pick up it was well managed without the usual confusion and chaos. I felt the place had good processes and procedures in place. And lastly the instructors seemed not only well trained ski instructors, but also good at dealing with a young child's insecurities and fears. Good job! I would highly recommend Diamond Peak to families and beginner skiers.

Email about Valentine's Dinner at Snowflake Lodge

We can't rave enough about Scott, IVGID's Food and Bev Manager, and his wonderful staff for sharing their talents for and with all of us lucky attendees.  My husband and I both agree that the Snowflake Lodge is truly the best setting in Lake Tahoe, and this daytime "ski hut" was transformed into the most romantic 5 star restaurant! The menu was mouth wateringly delicious, and the wine pairings superb.  We never waited for anything.  And finally, it was a surreal experience going down with my hubby on the chairlift in the dark and utter quiet...ultra cool.  Thank You IVGID, Diamond Peak, Scott and crew for the best Valentine's Day we've ever had and we can't wait until next year!

Email from Deanna @ Google

Thank you to Jay (Diamond Peak) & Danilelle (Hyatt) again for the amazing service you and the entire staff you provided to me and my group of Google engineers this past Thursday and Friday. I was also very honored to have met General Manager  Ed Youmans at Diamond Peak and then later receive a signed welcome note from him later in the day!  All my colleagues raved how they loved this offsite and had a great time and already can't wait to come back.  Of course, I have many other engineering teams I support and I am definitely going to recommend this hotel and ski resort to them and my other administrative colleagues after my wonderful experience this week.  And I'll even admit that I may have to come back without colleagues on a weekend to show my other half just how awesome your hotel and ski resort are since he's pretty jealous he was stuck working while we were having fun.

I appreciate great service; the efforts of your staff do not go unnoticed or unappreciated. Your folks continue to be friendly and helpful and charming.  Very, very gracious and they go out of there way to make my days at DP so pleasant.  They smile!  How refreshing!

But get this... although my ski partner is an excellent skier, he's a clutz in every other way, bless his heart.  He loses things constantly. At DP, (to date) he's lost his sunglasses and a glove.  BOTH times we assumed they were gone for good, and both times they have been returned.  He's overjoyed and I'm amazed. Every other ski place in the world employs a combination of the "Who Cares?" and the "Finders Keepers" Lost and Found policy. Once again, you guys are so far above the rest.

That's it - just thanks so much from both of us for making every day delightful. One more month and we're outta here, but we'll see y'all next season for sure.

Just wanted to let you know how great our instructor was! Julius taught our son Joseph (9) two private lessons and was just fantastic. Joey did not want to take the first lesson but came on the slope full of enthusiasm and confidence.

Our kid took a private lesson with Travis. He's a great teacher. He did an awesome job with our boy. It was our first time skiing and he learned a lot of stuff. Thank you for an unforgetable experience!
